Poverty Eradication Action Plan Africa
Brief Introduction
PEAP AFRICA was first established in the year 2006 as a Women network and Youth programme of sustainable development and poverty reduction.
We became legally registered on 13th October 2009 and 28th May 2010 as Community Based Organization in Kericho and Eldoret respectively.
Poverty Eradication Action Plan became registered as an International Women - led Organization in October 2010
The primary activities of P.E.A.P Africa are to conduct leadership trainings of Women, enhancing human rights and good governance. Secondly, undertaking peace building by including women and youth in forgiveness and reconciliation programmes especially by addressing the social and economic issues in the community. Thirdly, eradicating extreme poverty through capacity building of the different communities; rural and urban, farmers and pastoralists vocational trainings and value addition, encouraging entrepreneurship and innovative ideas for the sake of sustainable development

Promotion and facilitation of Security, Stability and Socio - Economic development of women and youth in the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa
Specific Objectives
- Human rights advocacy, good governance through leadership trainings and capacity building.
- Social-Economic empowerment through income generating activities, innovation, self-help projects and enterpreneur trainings and involvement of women and youth in both public and private sector of development.
- Peace building, conflict resolution, forgiveness and reconciliation through dialogues, community capacity building, and involvement of women in peace building according to the UN 1325 resolution.
